If you have any thing thats you think needs to be added let me know about it here.
found this on EA UK forums and it talks about the ROE
Hello, Mikael. Thank you for the info. Big thumb up for the DX10/ 11 screenshots.
Some thoughts rearding the ROE.
If EA/ DICE sets and enforces ROEs which prevent me from limiting player classes or weapons on a ranked server I will not pay 900 € a year for a 64 slot server. So that's about 1.800 € less gross revenue for the GSP and X% less for your company.
Admins who pay such a amount of money should have the freedom to decide how the game is played and who plays on their servers. I don't want random guests ruining the gameplay on my server.
Unwanted players include: baserapers (if the spawnpoint situation is as bad as in BC2), cheaters, racists, constant flamers. Baserapers in particular can visit a "vanilla server" where they can show their "skill" to headshot a spawing player five times in a row. Every other player is welcome.
Just a reminder for all the "90% of the admins are kids" yellers.
If dedicated admins, ProCon and the excellent plugins wouldn't exist you as a guest would face the following fun situations all day long on a BC2 server:
1) Cheaters/ glitch exploiters
2) Baserapers (spare me the "if they can't capture the flag they deserve it" BC2 main bases and spawn points are badly designed)
3) Teamkillers who play medics, tk and revive you, get kicked and rejoin 30 seconds later. Good servers auto temp/ perma ban players who behave that way
4) No mixed game servers
5) Sniper festivals and much much more...
Every good server I have in my favourites enforces rules which actually help the gameplay and action. These are constantly filled.
If you don't like servers with custom rules you have the following options:
1) Pay 900 € upfront to run your own BF3 vanilla server for one year
2) Leave and join a vanilla server
And a final thought: since when do guests dictate house rules?
well do you remember back in BF2, when windows vista came out and some of the games didn't support DX10&11 and the pbss and a few other things didn't work right and people was complaining about it. It looks like EA is working with even balance to fix and update punk buster to meet the new frost bite engine. lets hope its going to be better then in the past time we use it.
